Project goal
Life-Mapper
LIFE-MAPPER consolidates knowledge, methodologies, and best practices in marine habitat mapping, conservation, and restoration across EU seas. The project strengthens marine spatial planning, enhances decision-making, and fills critical knowledge gaps to safeguard Europe’s marine biodiversity.
LIFE-MAPPER integrates fragmented data into a digital manual and a Knowledge Platform: short pages written by the project's researchers, organised in four chapters with guided paths for planners, researchers, students and citizens, each backed by a searchable library of papers, datasets and guidelines and linked to the GeoPortal for mapping services.
